14/06/12 TNB Coventry Masters + Dogtrack Derby

First off lads,The swearing and chitter chatter during races got out of hand last night,It has to stop next week or the boots going on.

Big thanks to everybody for racing,Thanks to Hardcore & Dean for the use of their servers.

6 Heats,Semi's,A Final,Dogtrack race & Allcomers aint bad for a nights meeting!

Congrats to Myself on taking the A Final win after scoring only 3 points in the heats and just scraping into the final itself (11th in the semis).I predicted 13th as a finishing place just before so to win was a bit of a shock in the Mk2 Jag!
Had a great race with Toward27 who was unlucky not to win.
Well done to Snakie too who got into the final and finished the final on the lead lap.

Was a roddy meeting and nothing much happening till the semi, where there was some good racing and crashing, Final was seriously hectic and the greyhound derby was awesome! loved the pileups and the blockage near the end of the race where turn 1 pretty much just came to a halt lool

When i tried the pack i though from oh crap we are back here again, but first heat started well with spinning lee.
had through the heats some good fun and just slipped into the A-final thanks to South for crossing the line on the inside of Wiggy giving him no chance to catch up with me.

Then the final came, WHAT A RACE! don't think i have had a lap with noone very close to me, great and fair racing with everyone had the idea they should keep going for a chance on a good result. (outside dalags, combesy and the 3th on oppo) I would love more races like that!

Also think tonight showed you don't need a mk2 to be in the top of the list

I loved it, will be back at TNB full time (as long Lee doesn't punish using yanks to much )


ps. I want another greyhound race, missed it for the second time in 2 year!

agreed, yanks are cool but having some meetings where they're outlawed does make a change and encourages people to use something different. non yank and non ford worked well on WNB at swaffham
will run a greyhound race on WNB when we have it, be some time in August though if you can wait that long

Wd lee on the win in a mk2 jag, used them a couple of times and their slow wd to all other heat winners danny on th ederby and dean on the allcomers

Had a cracking ngt, quality stuff all ngt with smithy and knighty :-) thumbs up to them, couple of others saw front end bonnent a fair amount, greyhound was the best heat for the ngt, trying to get through was proba, cheers see ya next week.

Sorry to hear that hardcore, for once it wasnt me ruining a meeting

I enjoyed this meeting quite a bit, it was rodday at first, which was where i scored my 19 points. But once it got to the last couple heats and the semi, things sparked to life. Me hammering affro to stop him qualifying in the semi was the highlight, bu all in all it seemed most people were having they're share of good hitting and good rodding. Cannot comment as the final as i was wrecking in the semis so didnt qualify.

The greyhound derby had to be the highlight of the night and thought id be in with a chance with my dog shinanigans that happened. Anyway.... It came dowqn to the last few laps and the track got compeltely blocked. Nobody could get past and if they did it was becasue their car had lifted off the ground and car-surfed. Well done dannyg for winning that, thought i was going to have it.

Alos does anybody know whether the 260c, or 280c will be alloed at figure of 8 world next week?.

Hopefully its as good as i thought this meeting was

Yes the 260c,280c etc is allowed but wont qualify for bonus car points.
